MAM in the Neighborhood/Summer Arts At HCAA 2008

HCAA makes a great effort to archive and promote breakthrough Afro-Caribbean Art. Moreover, we also feel it is crucial cultivate it! This will primarily be done by providing the Afro-Caribbean youth first-hand exposure to art museums and selected workshops. Collaborating with the Miami Art Museum and other selected art spaces allow HCAA to be a bridge between the difficult to reach Afro Caribbean communities and art institutions.  Art education is an integral part of development.  Exposure to art and how it reflects culture is critical to the advancement of Afro Caribbean youth.

The Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance would like to invite all summer schools, camps, YMCA’s, and related summer programs for students from grades 2 – 5th in the Little Haiti, Edison, and Overtown area to join us in this inspiring program. We keenly ask that you collaborate with us simply by taking one day out of your program to bring your groups to our center.

This year's MAM in the Neighborhood/Summer Arts At HCAA 2008 will be from August 1 – 8.
Only four sessions are available this year limited to 25 students per session.

Please contact us to register.
